Motiv Black Venom

Motiv

The Motiv Black Venom is an asymmetrical solid bowling ball from Motiv, released in March 2023. It has the Leverage MFS Solid coverstock and the Gear APG weight block, finished at 4000 Grit LSS out of the box. At 15 lb its RG is 2.47, with a differential of 0.036 and a PSA of 0.013.

Among the 194 balls here with a 15 lb version, its RG is medium, and its differential is low, for less flare and a steadier motion. Motiv rates it 56 for length, 70 for backend and 58 for hook, out of 100: it starts to hook mid-lane, turns sharply at the breakpoint and hooks moderately overall, with at least 3 inches of flare potential. Motiv's ball guide puts it on light-medium oil, with a balanced motion.
