Similar Bowling Ball Finder

Pick any ball, discontinued ones included, and the chart puts it in the middle with the balls that react most like it around it, closer in for a closer match. It's a way to find a replacement for a ball that's no longer made, a backup for one you already throw, or a ball from another brand that does the same job.

The match percentage compares the six reaction stats the store rates every ball on, each from 1 to 11: flare potential, ball shape, hook length, oil volume, pattern length and lane condition. It takes the middle of each ball's range on each stat, measures how far apart the two balls are across all six together, and turns that into a percentage: 100% is an identical reaction, 0% as different as the scale allows. RG, differential, PSA and cover type aren't part of it.
