Motiv Ascend

Motiv

The Motiv Ascend is a symmetrical pearl bowling ball from Motiv, released in July 2025. It has the Vitality Pearl coverstock and the Flux V2 weight block, finished at 5500 Grit LSP out of the box. At 15 lb its RG is 2.59, with a differential of 0.023.

Among the 194 balls here with a 15 lb version, its RG is high, so it gets down the lane before it revs up, and its differential is low, for less flare and a steadier motion. Motiv rates it 80 for length, 70 for backend and 35 for hook, out of 100: it starts to hook late, turns sharply at the breakpoint and hooks moderately overall, with at least 2 inches of flare potential. Motiv's ball guide puts it on light oil, with a smooth motion.
