Motiv Ascent Apex

Motiv · Discontinued

The Motiv Ascent Apex is a symmetrical bowling ball from Motiv. It has the Fusion XL coverstock and the Recon weight block, finished at 5000 Grit Laser Scan Polished out of the box. At 15 lb its RG is 2.59, with a differential of 0.025. It's been discontinued.

Among the 194 balls here with a 15 lb version, its RG is high, so it gets down the lane before it revs up, and its differential is low, for less flare and a steadier motion. Motiv rates it 87 for length, 60 for backend and 35 for hook, out of 100: it starts to hook late, turns moderately at the breakpoint and hooks moderately overall, with at least 2 inches of flare potential.
