Motiv Desert Tank

Motiv · Discontinued

The Motiv Desert Tank is a symmetrical pearl bowling ball from Motiv, released in June 2020. It has the Frixion+ Pearl Microcell Polymer coverstock and the Flux weight block, finished at 2000 Grit LSS out of the box. At 15 lb its RG is 2.57, with a differential of 0.015. It's been discontinued.

Among the 194 balls here with a 15 lb version, its RG is high, so it gets down the lane before it revs up, and its differential is low, for less flare and a steadier motion. Motiv rates it 47 for length, 53 for backend and 40 for hook, out of 100: it starts to hook mid-lane, turns moderately at the breakpoint and hooks moderately overall, with at least 2 inches of flare potential.
